What is a Graphic Converter?

Simply put, a graphic converter is a piece of computer software that will allow you to display and edit graphic files. A graphic converter will also allow you to change the format of the graphics file into one that is functional for whatever format you need. Here are a few ways that someone might use a converter on their graphics on the internet.

Many times webmasters need images on their websites to fit in a particular space or window. Sometimes the graphics that they are using are too big or are too small. When this is the case, they can use this software to properly convert their image or graphics to the right file and/or picture size.

The key is to make sure that the picture or graphic that they are working with doesn’t actually lose any quality with the size change. A good graphic converter will do this with precision and ease.

Besides only being able to resize an image, this software is also capable of rotating and inverting the image as well. With some programs you can even edit the way the graphic looks or even create your own customized graphics.

A standard graphic converter may even need to be included on certain web pages to make sure that the graphics are converted to the specific browser that is trying to access the page. Someone that accesses a website using Mozilla Firefox has a different image reader than someone using Internet Explorer. Thus a proper converter on that website will determine what type of browser is reading the website and then it will display the right file type for the image.
